What we offer
Executive coaching
This is one-on-one work between a senior consultant and an executive or senior manager. Sessions run for 75 minutes, either fortnightly or monthly, depending on the intensity you need. We conduct them by video call or in person at your office.
Before the first session, we interview three to five of your colleagues (direct reports, peers, your manager) to build a picture of how your leadership is currently experienced. That feedback forms the foundation of the coaching plan.
Typical topics include:
- Giving direct feedback without damaging relationships
- Running meetings that produce decisions rather than discussion
- Delegating work you have been holding onto for too long
- Managing up: communicating with boards, investors or senior stakeholders
Minimum engagement is three months. Most clients continue for six to twelve months. You can pause or stop at the end of any month with two weeks notice.
Team alignment workshops
When a leadership team is stuck, it is usually not because the individuals lack skill. The problem is that they have never explicitly agreed on how they make decisions together, who owns what, and how they handle disagreements.
Our alignment workshop is a structured two-day offsite. We facilitate it at your chosen venue or at our offices in O'Neillhaven. The group size is four to fifteen people.
Day one focuses on diagnosis. We map the team's current decision-making patterns using real examples from the past quarter. We identify where authority is ambiguous, where communication breaks down, and where meetings are consuming time without producing outcomes.
Day two focuses on design. The team builds a written operating agreement that covers decision rights, meeting cadence, escalation rules and communication norms. This is not a poster for the wall. It is a working document that gets reviewed quarterly.
We follow up with two 90-minute check-in sessions over the next eight weeks to see whether the agreement is holding up in practice and adjust anything that is not working.
Organisational design
This service is for organisations where the structure itself has become the obstacle. Reporting lines no longer match how work actually flows. Roles overlap. Meeting calendars are packed but nothing moves forward.
We start with a two-week diagnostic phase. We interview key people across the organisation, review existing documentation (org charts, role descriptions, meeting schedules) and map the informal networks that actually drive decisions.
Then we design a new structure. This includes revised reporting lines, updated role descriptions, a simplified meeting architecture and clear escalation paths. We present two or three options with trade-offs explained plainly.
Once the leadership team selects an approach, we stay on for four to six weeks of implementation support. That means sitting in on meetings, coaching managers through the transition, and troubleshooting problems as they arise. Typical projects run six to ten weeks from start to finish.
Leadership development programs
For organisations that want to build leadership capability across a broader group, not just the senior team. We design and deliver multi-session programs for cohorts of eight to twenty people.
Each program runs over three to six months with sessions every two to three weeks. Between sessions, participants complete real-world assignments: a difficult conversation they have been avoiding, a process they need to redesign, a team meeting they need to restructure.
We tailor the content to your industry and the specific challenges your managers face. A program for a healthcare organisation looks quite different from one designed for a technology company, because the leadership situations are different.
Every participant receives two individual coaching sessions during the program to work on personal development goals. At the end, we provide a written report to the sponsor summarising themes, progress and recommendations for continued development.
How every engagement works
Regardless of which service you choose, the process follows the same four stages.
Diagnostic call
A free 30-minute conversation where we listen to your situation and assess whether we can help. No slides, no sales pitch.
Scoping proposal
Within five business days we send a short written proposal: what we will do, how long it will take, what it will cost, and what you can expect to be different at the end.
Delivery
We do the work. You get regular check-ins and can raise concerns at any point. If something is not working, we adjust the approach immediately.
Review
At the end of the engagement we review outcomes against the goals set at the start. We document what changed and what still needs attention.
Industries we work with
Our consultants have direct experience in several industries, which means we understand the context before you explain it. Over the past twelve years we have worked with organisations in mining and resources, healthcare and aged care, state and local government, technology and SaaS companies, professional services firms, and not-for-profit organisations.
That said, leadership problems share more in common across industries than most people expect. A manager struggling with delegation faces the same core challenge whether they run a hospital ward or a software engineering team. The surface details differ, but the underlying patterns repeat.
If your industry is not on the list above, do not let that stop you from reaching out. We will tell you honestly whether we have the right background for your situation.
